With the development of education and progress of technology, modem education technology——multi-media supplies a convenient condition for English teaching. The perfect combination of voice, light, color makes the dull language learning interesting. It is a breakthrough in English teaching history. The paper presents three aspects to deal with the function of the multi-media in English teaching. It provides a certain basis for using multi-media to teach English.
