This paper introduces the fundamental principles, technique characteristics, realizing schemes and the abroad applications in the modern high-speed data communication of the spread spectrum communication, imposes the irreplaceable function of the spread spectrum technology which resolved the low trans-port rate and the irrationality of the usage of frequency spectrum during the normal data communication. The excellent performance and the wide development prospect of the spread spectrum communication technology is exhibited. The important meaning of the abroad application of spread spectrum technology in the management of wireless spectrum resource is expatiated in this paper.
