形象塑造是当代社会个体推介自我、获取社会认可、确立个体社会地位的重要途径。民族地方高校的形象塑造是建立在以办学理念为基础、以大学功能发挥和独具个性大学精神以及办学特色为载体的系统工程和有意识的长期的实践行为。

Image-building is an important means for individuals to make self recommendation, gain social recognition and establish social position in the current society. Image-building of higher learning institutions in ethnic regions is a systematic project and a conscious and time-consuming practice, which is based on school running concept and gives full play to university functions and unique university spirits with distinctive characteristics in school running.
