This article expounds the eharaeteristie principle and the main transfer---mode of the eireless local area network. It introduces the operating mode of the dpread dpectrum vommunication,the principle of direct sequence spread spectrum,frequency hopping spread dpectrum,tirne hopping spread spectrum and chirp spread spectrum and expounds the four characteristics of the spread spectrum communication and its future application in the wireless local area network.
