With the development of academic library, the character exaltation of the employees becomes an important mission. Continual education is an important outlet to enrich the librarians＇ knowledge and improve their service level. This article has expatiated the present condition of academic library, studied the necessity of carrying out the continual education, analyzed the development trend of the education and introduced the means and contents of the continual education.
