National Meteorological Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Conference was held in Beijing on September 18,2007.Over 200 participants attended the conference including officials from the State Council and provincial/municipal governments,as well as meteorologists.Vice Premier Hui Liangyu presented and made an important speech in the opening ceremony

Over 200 participants attended the conference including officials from the State Council and provincial/municipal governments, as well as meteorologists. Vice Premier Hui Liangyu presented and made an important speech in the opening ceremony which showed great concern from the State Council. Dr. Zheng Guoguang, Administrator of China Meteorological Administration （CMA）, made the general report in the conference.
