The application of computer electromagnetic simulation in the design of communications cables is discussed. The key points in the simulation are given according to the working experience. Taking low loss 7/8＂ RF coaxial cable and category 6 LAN cables as examples, the theory and method of computer electromagnetic simulation are introduced. Meanwhile , some data and pictures are shown to prove the simulation.
