Objective. To discuss the changes of T cell levels in peripheral blood of preoperative, postoperative and postchemotherapic breast cancer patients. Methods :Flow cytometry (FCM) and direction immunofluorescence label test were used to measure the T cell subpopulation levels in peripheral blood of health adult and preoperative, postoperative and postchemotherapic breast cancer patients. Results:The levels of CD^+3, CD^+4 and CD^+4/CD^+8 of preoperative patients were lower than those of healthy adults (P 〈 0.01) ,but CD^+8level was higher than that of health adults (P 〈 0.05). the levels of CD^+3and CD^+4/ CD^+8of postoperative patients were higher than those of preoperative patients (P〈 0.05) . A slight increase in CD^+4 level and a slight decrease in CD^+8 showed no deference between preoperative and postoperative patients. The levels of CD^+3 ,CD^+4 ,CD^+8 and CD^+4/CD^+8 of postchemotherapic patients had some change but no difference (P 〉 0.05). Conclusion :The T cell level in the peripheral blood of breast cancer patients in different periods shows some changes, and based on these changes;we can know the cellular immune function of the patients, which has some clinical significance in judgement of the patient's condition and estimation of the prognosis.
