Alfalfa is the king in forage grass, and it＇s a necessary feed for dairy cattle. However, it isimportant to select and extend alfalfa varieties for developing dairy industry. It is systematically expounded theimportant effect and the significance of alfalfa for dairy cattle and for adjusting the agricultural structure in thisarticle. It put forward the developing direction of alfalfa breeding in Heilongjiang Province. It can enable thesustainable development of dairying in our province.
