摘要
《紫颜色》和《她们眼望上苍》是描写黑人女性成长的姊妹篇。两部小说都突出了话语在黑人女性建构自我的过程中的巨大作用。本文分析了霸权话语对于黑人女性的支配和对她们独立自由的禁锢,讨论了话语对于黑人女性反抗父权制压迫,追求自我,构建自我身份的积极作用。
The Color Purple and Their Eyes Were Watching God are great works of kindred spirit. Both novels emphasized great influences of discourses for black women＇s self-construction. The paper discloses the domination of hegemonic speech over black women, and expounds positive effects of black women＇s discourse against patriarchy and for independence and self-identity.
