This paper presents the concept of process approach and its writing steps. Meanwhile the author shows the features of process approach, its development and teaching model. The paper claims the practical use of process approach in guiding dissertation writing. Process approach emphasizes students＇active ability. The teaching process should cultivate students＇ability in planning, drafting, revising and constructing. It is suggested that this process is a repeated and complicated one.
