新世纪的中国情报学发展至今已经呈现出了三条研究主线,与这三条研究主线相对应,新世纪的中国情报学正在浮现出三大研究范式,即基于intelligence的软科学研究范式、基于information的图书信息学研究范式、基于信息管理框架及知识管理框架的管理科学研究范式.新世纪中国情报学三大研究范式的出现深刻地影响着该学科发展走向,这体现在：它确立起了一种基于三大研究范式之上的新型学科发展观、它清晰地限定了中国情报学的学科边界范围所在,使得一个统一完整的中国情报学体系正在形成,同时它还明确界定出了应该是介于图书馆学、档案学、文献学和管理科学与工程、工商管理、技术经济与管理之间的中国情报学独立的学科定位所在.

Based on the three main research mutes in the recent research field of Chinese information/intelligence science in new century, throe paradigms of that has already emerged, which are soft science paradigm based on Intelligence, library and information science paradigm based on Information, and management science paradigm based on the framework of Information Management and Knowledge Management. Three paradigms of Chinese information/intelligence science in new century have a great impact on its development direction. Three paradigms of that have established a new development conception for Chinese information/intelligence science, defined the accurate field scope of Chinese information/intelligence science, and showed that Chinese information/intelligence science is located between the research fields of library, archive, documentation and those of management science ＆ engineering, business management, technological economics ＆ management.
