尤金.奈达为翻译理论的发展做出了不小的贡献。但奈达译论中存在明显的偏颇和不足,集中反映在他的"动态对等"、"读者反应"、"语言表现力"、"翻译即交际"、"翻译‘三性原则’"等新概念上。这种偏颇和不足的根源在于他学术经历、翻译实践和价值标准的局限性。

Eugene A Nida has made no small contribution to the development of translation theory, yet awkwardness is also found in his new concepts of translation on “dynamic equivalence”, “readers＇response”, “genius of language”, “translation equal to communication”, “three criteria for translation”, etc. The root cause of this awkwardness lies in the limitations of his academic experiences, translation practice and his values.
