Toni Morrison, a well- reputed American Negro woman writer, has been focusing her works on Negro women. Sula, a description of the seeking of a Negro woman for her individuality, is often taken as a classical text for feminist literature. This paper, by analyzing the incident of the death of ＇Chicken Little＇ in the novel, intends to explore into the symbolic structure of ＇ally-murder-ceremony＇ underlying the superficial structure of ＇game-accident-burial＇ and thus reveal the significance feminism.
