In the paper, the origin of ＂april - eighth＂ in Miao Minority is discussed according to the correlative stories and rites. Compared with that in Han nationality, the differences between them are illustrated. In the development of minority area, radiate effects of this festival should be exerted fully in order to promote the development of economy and culture in Miao minority area.
