Chen Heqin and "Xiaozhuang Normal School"

教育家陈鹤琴先生与陶行知是一生的同志与挚友。他随同陶行知创建了晓庄师范,并以晓庄师范作为自己办学的榜样和砥砺,受到陶行知教育思想的影响,提出了"做人,做中国人,做现代中国人"的教育目标,晚年多次来到晓庄,鼓励晓庄的师生铭记陶行知,继承陶行知的事业。

Chen Heqin and Tao Xingzhi,the co-founders of Nanjing Xiaozhuang Normal School,were lifetime comrades and close friends.In his experiences of running schools,Chen always took this school as a model.Influenced by Tao Xingzhi＇s educational thought,Chen set forth an educational goal which was ＂Be a human being,be a Chinese,and be a modern Chinese.＂ In his late years of life,he often came to Xiaozhuang Normal School,encouraging the teachers and the students to remember Tao Xingzhi for ever and carry forward the cause left over by Tao Xingzhi.
