摘要
词汇是语言中一个极其重要的组成部分,它在语言的教与学的过程中起着关键性的作用。该文从分析L1/MT学习者的心理词汇着手,指出L2/FL学习者的心理词汇与其L1/MT的心理词汇既有共同之处,又具有自身的特性。在L2/FL心理词汇中,单词的形式与意义对单词的记忆与保留起着同等的作用;而L2/FL心理词汇中词项的呈现则经历三个渐进的阶段,在这一过程中,学习者的L1/MT心理词汇对其L2/FL心理词汇施加了巨大的影响。对L2/FL心理词汇的这些理解对L2/FL教学、特别是L2/FL词汇教学具有指导意义。
Vocabulary takes a dominant position in language and plays a critical part in language teaching and learning. Without vocabulary, none of the five skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating) would be possible. Based on a survey of language learner's L1/ MT and L2/FL mental lexieon,a conclusion was made that L2/FL mental lexicon works in quite a similar way as when he/she acquires/ learns L1/MT vocabulary with some particularities of its own. Both form and meaning play important roles in the memory or retention of words. Representation of a lexieal entry in a learner's mental lexicon is carried out through three not - dearly - cut stages.The L2/FL mental lexicon either integrates with or separates from the L1/MT mental lexicon, depending on the learner and the situation.These understandings on L2/FL mental lexicon have a number of implications for how to deal with an L2/FL, particularly with the vocabulary of that L2/FL.
