The present situation of production and operation for capacitor installation were briefly introduced. The problems and idea of meeting in process of typical specification research for capacitor installation were given, such as canceling outside fuse and assemble type capacitor, expansion of assemble type, reactance rate, selection of protection mode. And the focal points are the selection for the reactance rate of series reactor and protection mode of capacitor installation, which is elaborated specifically.
