Circumferential Deformation of Rock Sample in Pseudo Triaxial Compression

研究了岩样三轴压缩过程中环向变形比轴向变形更早、更快地偏离线弹性状态的原因，给出了确定泊松比的方法．实验发现岩样的轴向和环向塑性变形之间具有线性关系，并从材料的剪切破坏机理进行了解释．

It is explained clearly that rock sample’s circumferential deformation deviates from the linear elastic law earlier and faster than its axial deformation. A method to measure Poisson’s ratio using the experimental results under triaxial compression is given. The research shows that the circumferential plastic deformation varies linearly with the axial plastic deformation, which results from the shear failure of rock material.
