This report first will analyze the basic thnical situation which includes thnical fields in the ATSC standard, and then will point out the involved standard files that contain patents. After that, the report will fouce on the analysis of every patentee？s background, the relationship between the companies who owe patent and the patents？s legal situation. Last but not least, the problem about the patent in ATSC standard will also be discussed.
