The CAPE-OPEN standard is introduced. The following is analyzing the requirements of the chemical property database according with the CAPE-OPEN standard from conceptual data models, illuminating the implement process of the database by the use cases, and by using the sequence diagrams showing the relations of the interfaces, actors and class in the database. The property database in accord with CAPE-OPEN standard, allows the automatic exchange of property data and model parameters among the databases developed by different producers, overcomes the ＂ Bottleneck Effect＂ of property database of simulators.
