Miracle of high growth of ports to continue

中国港口正创造着一个又一个的世界第一，以令世人瞠目的速度飞速发展。货物吞吐量和集装箱吞吐量屡创新高，今年上半年规模以上港口货物吞吐量完成25．5亿吨，增长15．5％。其中：内贸16．6亿吨，同比增长15．2％，外贸8．9亿吨，同比增长15．7％。目前，我国内地已有12个亿吨大港，中国已经成为世界上拥有亿吨大港最多的国家。中国沿海港口在全球经济中的地位日益显赫，因此中国港口的发展之路也就更引世人注目。

Coastal ports in China have played more and more important role in global economy. Therefore, development of ports in China has attracted attentions of the world. The objective situation of natural resources in China, necessary requirements for economical development in China, policy supports of local government, capital inflows and existence of bottleneck issues of ports determine that the miracle for high growth of ports will continue. However, we shall notice some issues and follow some ways in high growth process, such as abiding by the National Planning on Layout of Ports to determine the positions and work divisions of ports, enhancing the construction of professional ports to realize the professional, large-scaled and centralized development of coastal ports, expanding of financing channels and insisting on the diversification of investment main bodies, enhancing the cooperation to realize the effective configura- tion of resources and the maximization of efficiencies, and enhancing the expansion of functions of ports. Thus, Chinese ports can contribute to the construction of a well-off society in an all-round way.
