立足学科优势发展我国西部高等网络教育

Developing Modern Distance Education in Western China Based on Dominant Specialty

在深入分析中国西部高等网络教育现状的基础上,进一步分析了西部开发对人才需求状况。结果表明,目前中国西部人才需求与远程网络教育现状不相适应。西部丰富的矿产资源的开发与加工生产急需资源探测、开采、加工专业的高技术人才,现代远程教育试点学校中50%以上为综合性和理工类院校,这些院校师资力量雄厚、学科优势突出,能满足西部开发对人才培养的需求。因此,抓住机遇,迎接挑战,发挥现代远程教育试点学校学科优势,发展西部高等网络教育事业,是促进网络教育发展与西部经济发展的双赢策略。

This paper analyzes the state of modern distance education in western China and urgent demand of exploiter with higher education in western China. The study shows modern distance education can not suit the need of professional exploiter in western China. However, half of the universities with modern distance education have advanced science and technology disciplines, these universities have the power to educate the exploiter in mining and metallurgy in western China. Therefore, it is a challenge＇to development of modem distance education in western China based on dominant specialty, which is tow wins strategies for development of modem distance education as well as socioeconomic development in western China.
