A Discussion on Development of Indo-Pakistani Relations

2007年以来,印巴继续推进全面对话,取得一些积极进展。但在主要争端上未能有所突破,克什米尔问题仍是"难解之结"。受巴内政变化因素影响,对话进程已趋缓,但两国和平进程难以逆转,缓慢改善关系是未来基本走势。

India and Pakistan have continued to push on all-round dialogue and achieved some progress since the beginning of 2007. However, they have not been able to make any breakthrough on the major issues of dispute, and the Kashmir issue is still 'a Gordian knot'. Nevertherless, peace process can not be reversed though the process of dialogue has slowed down with the change of the internal political situation in Pakistan. Slow but gradual improvement of Indo-Pakistani relations will be unchangeable in future.
