Compared with the other green spaces, green parks, important green space in the city, have important function for the urban green space system. However, some administrators and residents usually consider the park to be equal with the city square, overlooking the ecological function of the green parks. The functions of green park in biodiversity conservation and environment protection were analyzed using solid data in order to provide a correct standpoint of the green parks. It concludes that scientific management and reasonable utilization will make the green parks to be more efficient in ecology and environment protection.
