摘要
魏源对晚清中国的深切忧虑,自小所接受的中国传统文化熏陶,尤其是湖湘文化和江浙文化对他的影响,这些都促其"经世致用"思想的产生。魏源个人品格及其亲身经历则进一步激发了这一思想的形成。魏源的师友大都主张"经世致用",他们有力地推动了魏源"经世致用"思想的发展。
Wei Yuan was deeply concerned about the late Qing dynasty in China. From his childhood he was educated with the traditional Chinese culture and was particularly influenced by the cultures of Hunan, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Such cultures helped to bring about his idea of “learning to administer state affairs in order to apply it”. His characteristics and personal experiences gave a further stimulation to the formation of such an idea. Most friends of Wei Yuan's advocated “learning to administer state affairs in order to apply it”. They effectively pushed forward the development of Wei Yuan's thinking,
