遵义市城市化水平曾长期在10%上下波动,改革开放以来,遵义市城镇人口呈加速增长趋势。遵义市城市化进程加速的原因主要是农村劳动力大量向城镇转移、城镇固定资产投资大幅度增长、城镇非农产业发展迅速以及经济体制改革不断深化等因素。

The urbanized area of Zunyi Municipality, for a long time, made up about 10% of the total area. Since the reform and opening to the outside world, the urban population of Zunyi has increased rapidly. Causes for the acceleration of urbanization of Zunyi were mainly that a large number of rural manpower was transferred to urban areas, that investment in the fixed assets of towns has been greatly increased, that nonagricuhural industries have been developing rapidly and that the rcform of economic structure has been deepened.
