Discussion on the Associated Meaning of Words' Connotation and the Realization of Cross-culture Communication

英语词汇和汉语词汇在意义上并不完全对应。于是有了词汇涵义的字面意义(即基本的或明显的意义)与词汇的隐含或附加的意义(即联想意义),而最值得注意的是词汇的联想意义,因为跨文化交流的实现更多体现的是它的联想意义。

There is no exact equal meaning between Chinese words and English words. We can divide the meaning into two categories： one is denotation of the words （the basic meaning or obvious meaning） ; the other is implied or added meaning in words connotation （the associated meaning）. Between these two, the associated meaning demands more attention, because the realization of cross-culture communication embodies more of the words associated meaning.
