Discussion on the establishment of a PSSA in the Bohai Sea

渤海拥有丰富的海洋资源,但随着经济建设的快速发展,渤海正承受前所未有的环境压力,严峻的环境污染不仅制约着环渤海经济的快速发展,也严重威胁人们的身体健康。如在渤海海域建立PSSA,对渤海海域环境综合整治以及生态恢复与保护具有极其重要的现实意义。

The Bohai Sea has rich marine resources, however, the rapid economic development has brought about environmental pressure in this area. The severe environment pollution not only restricts the development of the economy, but also threatens the human health. If PSSA is assigned to the Bohai Sea, it will be of great significance in the integrated environment control of the Bohai Sea and recovery and protection of the ecosystem.
