As revealed from the press conference issuing power reliability index in 2006 jointly held by the State Electricity Regulatory Commission and Chinese Electricity Council on May 11, 2007, during the ten years period from 1997 to 2006, the index of urban service reliability was promoted from 99.717% to 99.849%. It means the customers＇ yearly averaged time of power cut decreased from 24 hours and 45 minutes to 13 hours and 11 minutes, or the time of power cut decreased by 11 hours and 34 minutes.
