On July 30, the National Bureau of Statistics, the National Development ＆ Reform Commission and the National Energy Leading Group jointly issued the ＂Bulletin on Energy Consumption Indexes per Unit GDP in the First Half of 2007.＂ The national energy consumption perunit GDP decreased by 2.78% compared with the same period of 2006, and the electricity consumption per unit GDP decreased by 3.64%. Energy consumption of large-scaled industrial enterprises increased by 3.87% in the first half of 2007.
