Translation is just communication and pragmaties studies in discourse how to obtain meaningful scenes and how people use language to the success of communication. Clearly, they are united in communication. In fact, pragmaties and equivalence translation have myriad ties in the framework of communication. Studying on the relationship between the two, both can expand the applicabe scope of pragmaties and deepen peoples understanding of equivalence translation.
