接受美学读者反映中的"读者"是一个相对笼统的概念。文学作品的读者至少可以分为以研究借鉴为阅读目的的学者型和以愉悦为目的的普通型两大群体。满足这两类读者群需求的译诗在形意的传递上必然各有侧重。作为检验译诗质量的形式对等标准可能适用于侧重于形似的译诗,但不一定适合用来检验注重欣赏价值的译诗。

The concept of the reader in the Theory of Reception Aesthetics is rather general. In fact, readers of literary works can be divided into two groups those with the purpose of research and drawing and those with the purpose of pure enjoyment. To meet the needs of one or the other group, the translator must emphasize either the form or the sense of the original poem. The Formal Equivalence Criterion may be used to assess the quality of one style of translation, but not both.
