摘要
本文探讨了一种基于分布式并行计算环境下视觉CBIR检索(基于内容的图像检索)引擎的实现.该引擎采用分布式数据库来保存庞大的多媒体数据库,利用Agent技术,采用分布式图像处理单元来进行多媒体数据的特征提取和索引建立.利用并行处理单元在分布式数据库上进行检索匹配.讨论了在动态负载平衡下如何进行处理单元(PE)和代理以及分布式数据库的交互.
A distributed implementation of visual CBIR (Content-Based Image Retrieval) engine has been put forward in this paper. Based on agent and distributed database, the engine use distributed image processing units to extract features from multimedia data and indexes them, The parallel units in the engine are working with the distributed databases during the match procedure when retrieve is going on. It also discusses the interaction among processing unit, agents and distributed database under the dynamic overhead balance management.
