This article expends on the important basis of the reform of universities according to the socialist orientation from three aspecs. It also clarifies specific requirements about adhering to the socialist orientation in runnng school from four aspects. Finally,it lays emphases on persisting socialist orientation and transforming idens in education in running school, and earnestly urgespeople to study Deng Xiaoping's thought in education.
