摘要
隐喻已经从修辞学研究的范畴进入到了人类认知研究。隐喻作为一种思维方式,可以培养学生在英语学习当中以隐喻思维去认知世界,从可及性较强的概念映射到可及性较弱的概念。揭示这一过程,我们能更加合理地系统地将新知识与已有的认知结构系统结合,从而学习并保持知识,这样能更有效地帮助学生建立起深层的理解和记忆系统。
The cognition of metaphor and its functions in English learning is basically a sort of thoughts ,which can help the learner to recognize and understand the world better, especially is meaningful in improving the English learner's vocabulary, pragmatic ability and cross-culture ability. In metaphor, the conception usually projects from the stronger one to the weaker one, understanding the process will better combine the new knowledge into the formed cognitive learning system, which will improve the efficiency of learning and the memory of new knowledge.
