An effective separation of wollastonite from diopside can be achieved using do decylamine as a collector and tannic acid as a modifying agent. This is due to the fact that tannic acid has a selective depressing effect on diopside. Auger energy spectrum study has shown that there is a higher binding energy of Ca 2p on the surface of wollastonite than on diopside, and it is easier for —OH in tannia acid and —COO - radical to combine with Ca 2+ on the surface of diopside.
