The main asymmetric synthetic methods for optically active 2-amino-l-phenylethanol derivafives are summarized according to reaction type such as asymmetric hydrogenation, CBS-oxazaborolidine reduction and Henry reaction, especially for the synthetic methodology of R-salbutamol, R-salmeterol and D-sotalol.
