This paper introduces the theoretical and experimental teaching methods of optical fiber communication eye diagram, and points out that the combination of the theoretical and experimental teaching methods can make the students understand deeply and master firmly the formation principle of eye diagram, the optical fiber communication system performance information provided by eye diagram and the measurement of it.
