成人高等教育和继续教育是我国终身教育体系的重要组成部分,是普通高等教育的补充和延伸,是高等学校服务于社会的重要渠道。以问题引入的方式,分析讨论了地方本科院校在成人高等教育与继续教育改革及发展过程中面临的困难与挑战,并从红河学院成人教育改革与发展的定位、目标、指导思想、管理体制、办学模式、组织建设、学科建设、教学质量评价与监督等多个方面提出了一些思考,期望引发更深入的思考和拓展研究。
