“因文生事”:金圣叹的小说叙事特质论

"因文生事"是金评《水浒传》中提出的一个极为重要的命题,在中国古代的小说叙事理论史上有重要意义。虽然金圣叹没有摆脱"拟史批评"的影响,但他清醒地认识到了小说独特的文体特征。《水浒传》是金氏极力推崇的"才子书"之一,因此,"因文生事"与他的"才子"说有密切关系。这一命题不仅揭示了小说叙事的虚构性,也强调了"文"是小说叙事的生命力所在,"因文"是小说叙事所遵循的潜在原则。
