Institutional Ethics and Institutional "Good"

制度伦理是当代中国语境下政治哲学的核心问题之一。制度伦理既不是什么"制度的伦理化",也不是什么"伦理的制度化",而是对制度的伦理分析。其核心是揭示制度的伦理属性及其伦理功能,其主旨是指向"什么是善的制度"、"一个善的制度应当是怎样的"、"何以可能"、"有何伦理价值"等问题。对于制度"善"的伦理思考,必须坚持内容与形式、基本与非基本制度相统一的立场,必须坚持历史主义的思想方法。

Institutional ethics constitutes one of the central questions of political philosophy in contemporary China.Institutional ethics involves neither the 'moralization of institutions' nor the 'institutionalization of morals.' Its central task is to explore the ethical dimensions and functions of an institution,so as to answer questions like 'What is a good institution?' 'What should a good institution be like?','How is such an institution possible?' and 'What is the ethical value of a good institution?' Reflections on the ethics of 'good' institutions institutional 'good' from the perspective of ethics must uphold the historicist mode of thought and the standpoint of the unity of substance and form,as well as of basic and non-basic institutions.
