The paper studies the ancestors of paddy rice - cultivating native ethnic groups in the Pearl River valley. Focusing on the divine deeds of ＂Luojia＂ and ＂Buluotuo＂, the paper illustrates that ＂Luojia＂ was the female chief and sorceress in distant matriarchal society, while ＂Buluotuo＂ was the male chief and sorcerer in distant paternal society.
