oSa-the Organization for Safety of Abrasives has 45 member today, producing 70% of the hand-held abrasives in the world. The purpose of oSa is to support the current achieved safety standards for grinding tools and supply market with safety abrasive products, oSa members fulfill EN standards, continue in-house testing and inspect equipment and safety monitoring system by themselves. Their products are tested and certified in accordance with the most stringent regulations in the word, in the EN standards plus further technical requirements stipulated by the oSa. Independent experts appointed by oSa inspect manufacturing facilities and safety management for a membership application. oSa clearly distinguishes itself from other safety certificate organizations that only approve product samples, oSa label regulations allow to trace back to the manufacturer, the oSa- trademark is symbol of safety for abrasive products.
