A combined welding technique, which is the application of semiautomatic welding protected by flux cored wire combined with electrical rod arc welding in the long distance transmission pipeline, is introduced in this article. The technique is worthy of being popularized in the construction of pipelines with large or middle diameter because of its low cost, high efficiency and high qualified rate.
