摘要
学者多以《毛传》为汉代经学的典范之作,并在汉学与宋学的分野中,将其作为汉学的主要代表,以说明汉学的特点。本文认为,《毛传》是"战国遗孤,汉家螟蛉",它秉承的是先秦解经传统,保存的是先秦遗说遗典,呈现出的是先秦理性精神。无论是思想本质还是外在形式,在更大程度上所表现出的都是战国学术的素质,无法代表汉代的学术思想与作风。
Most scholars view Mao Zhuan as a Confucian classic of Han Dynasty and, when distinguishing Han learning from Song learning, take it as a masterpiece of the former to illustrate the features of this school of learning. However, the essay holds that Mao Zhuan is the 'orphan of Warring States and adopted son of Han,' which inherits the pre-Qin tradition of interpreting Confucianism and preserves the pre-Qin classics, thus taking on the rational spirit of that era. Either in spiritual essence or in external form, Mao Zhuan manifests, to a greater extent, the quality of Warring States learning and cannot represent the academic thinking and style of Han Dynasty.
