摘要
本文报告一项采用事件相关电位(ERP)技术测量熟练晚期中英双语者的实验研究。实验旨在考察两个问题:双语者心理词典的语义表征是否为两个语义系统;在对图片命名提取词汇的过程中双语者两种语言的心理词典是怎样激活并相互转换的。实验结果表明熟练晚期中英双语者的心理词典语义是共同表征的。运用语言特定词汇提取控制机制理论,本文探讨了本试验受试用汉语完成图片命名占用了更多认知资源的原因。
This paper reports an ERP experiment to answer two researcn questions, that is, whether late proficient Chinese-English bilinguals have two mental lexicon semantic systems or share a common one, and how the forms of mental lexicons of the two languages activate and interact with one another. The results indicate that late proficient Chinese-English bilinguals share a common mental lexicon semantic system. The reasons why more resources are needed when naming pictures in Chinese are probed via language-specific theory regarding the mechanism controlling mental lexicon access.
