A Restudy of "Functional Equivalence" from the Operating Process of Translation

摘要 "功能对等"与翻译操作过程具有密切的关联性,具有很强的实践性和可操作性。解析翻译操作过程,包括对翻译的双层面和双层级操作及其双层面双层级翻译单位的解析;对于翻译的理解、话语传递和体现等各操作阶段的解析,可以有助于更加深入解读和正确理解"功能对等",对与"功能对等"有关的问题如"功能对等"的动态联动性与相对性、翻译的"可译性"、"功能对等"与"形式对应"、"读者的反应与感受"、译者、作者、读者等的关系、翻译中的认知、文化、信息等以及翻译中的"归化"与"异化"等等,都将有助于进一步的正确理解和澄清。＂Functional Equivalence＂ has close relevance to the operating process of translation and is effectively practicable and operable. Detailed analyses of the operating process of translation, involving the analysis of the operation of translation at two phases and at two levels, and involving the analysis of comprehension operating stage, discourse conveyance operating stage and embodiment operating stage, will be conducive to a deeper restudy and a more correct comprehension of ＂Functional Equivalence＂, and will also be conducive to a correct comprehension and clarification of some relevant issues to functional equivalence such as the dynamic interaction and relativity of ＂Functional Equivalence＂, the translatability, functional equivalence and formal correspondence, readers＇ responses and receipts, relationship between translators, writers and readers, recognition, culture, and message in translation, as well as the problem of assimilation and dissimilation in translation.
