亲族血缘关系在商代政治生活中发挥着重要作用,它在被商王利用来维护和巩固王权的同时,也对王权起到一定的制约作用。商王室对祖先神祭祀的极度重视、血缘贵族在贡纳、戍守等方面的强势表现以及《尚书.牧誓》中列数的纣王的罪恶都是上述作用的具体体现。

Consanguinity played an important role in the political life in the Shang Dynasty. On one hand, it maintained and consolidated monarchical power; on the other hand, it restricted monarchical power to some extent. The extreme attention on offering sacrifices to ancestors,which the imperial court paid,the manifestation in tribute,guards and so on and the Chou king＇s evils listed in ＂Shangshu · Mushi＂ ,show those functions in details.
