和谐社会并不是专指社会主义和谐社会,它还包括其他形态,社会主义和谐社会是和谐社会的一个子概念;社会主义和谐社会与历史上曾经出现过的其他"和谐社会"有着质的差异;社会主义和谐社会是充分体现社会主义社会本质的社会;与历史上出现过的其他社会形态相比,社会主义社会是更为理想的和谐社会。

The harmonious society does not specially refer to the socialist harmonious society, for the harmonious society includes the socialist and other forms of harmonious society, and the socialist harmonious society is a subset concept of the harmonious society. The socialist harmonious society has a qualitative difference from the other ＂harmonious society＂ that have ever occurred in the history. The socialist harmonious society is fully reflecting the social nature of the socialist society. Compared with the other social forms that have ever occurred in the history, the socialist society is a more harmonious one.
